The Chairman is a spoken word artist that work in the trenches with special populations. He is a director of a nonprofit in San Francisco and was inducted into the 2012 Cambridge Who’s Who for the work he does in the community displaying leadership and assisting others. He write to inspire, uplift and motivate individuals to the masses. His voice is his signiture with a unique sound of his own that demands attention. The Chairman was awarded the 2012 World Poetry Society plaque for his works.

The Chairman of Spoken Words has performed in the Bay Area, Atlanta, Texas, Minneapolis, New York, and New Jersey to Chicago’s The Green Mill & P.O.E.T. In the Bay, he has featured at The Java House, The Poetic Groove, Holla-Back, Linen Life, Anna’s Jazz Island, Jefferies Inner Circle, Mouth Off Wednesday’s and Dalva’s. He has opened for R&B Singer Lea Sweet at San Francisco’s Yoshi’s 2009 and 2010 in Oakland. Performed the Juneteenth Festivals in San Francisco, in 2007 and 2009.  He’s been on various radio stations and online radio broadcasts such as KPOO, KGO, 104.1 fm, the Village Connect, the Remix Blog talk radio and others.

In 2009, The Chairman released his debut cd, Social Ills. The Social Ills project (SI) showcases Bay Area talented Spoken Words Artists, Rappers and R&B Singers. Social Ills presents the sounds of R&B, Hip Hop and Jazz; produced by PlayaRighteous Folks Entertainment (D. Thompson) and SoulCaine (A.M. Johnson) from Richmond and Vallejo Ca.
